Our room was well-equipped with coffee and tea facilities, a cozy sitting area, and a charming fireplace, and the surroundings here were lovely, close to a fascinating castle and a lively flea market.

The friendly owers and their hospitality. The authentic castle and chambre 'Le Rotonde' (The tower).
Nothing.

Fabulous castle, history and custodian to go with it. Splendid rooms and furniture, if you like antiques.
Slightly sad - a lot of responsibility on one set of shoulders, and quite unsustainable.

It was an absolutely amazing time in Villersexel! I appreciated this fantastic hotel after staying for 1 night. - the property's location was great, right by the historic castle, France, and church. - the staff were amicable and excellent too.

It was quiet.
Property rather run down and needs refurbishing. The owner is struggling to keep the property running. We were the only guests there and as there is no restaurant had to go out to eat in the evening which was fine but we had envisaged a lovely restaurant in a beautiful Chateau. This was definitely not the case. We had asked for breakfast at 07.30 but were advised that it was not possible to provide this until 0800. At 07.50 next morning we were advised that this would not be forthcoming until 08.30 by which time we could not wait and left without breakfast.

we were in a hurry, so stayed here only for 1 night, even so everything was excellent. the position of the hotel was stunning, next to church. besides, it was near the castle and a beautiful park and the flea market. truly enjoyed our stay and location of the venue, and would love to return.

This is an authentic, frozen-in-time, large castle, with all the charme that this brings with it. It's definitely not a hotel. There is no restaurant, no service personnel. You speak directly with the owner family.
The pool was not very well kept.

What an experience staying in a real castle! From the impressive outside to a comfortable bed, everything was great. The breakfast was excellent with homemade bread and a variety of quality ham and cheese. The staff was very gracious and helpful, especially the baron's son who spoke English. This hotel has a peaceful and quiet location next to a church, making it a great spot to stay in the area.
Nothing bad to say, the flaws of this family home give it a normal and comfortable feel.

This hotel is a hidden gem that offers a truly unique and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived at the magnificent castle, we were captivated by its grandeur and charm. The rooms, with their comfortable beds and original interior, transport you back in time and make you feel like royalty. The attention to detail in maintaining the castle is evident, and it's impressive to see an authentic piece of history in such good condition. The staff, particularly the owner and his son, were warm, friendly, and always willing to help. Breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious spread that left us satisfied and ready for the day. this hotel offers exceptional value for money, and we would definitely stay here again.
No improvements needed, everything was perfect.
